Evo deo njegove druge poruke nakon mog odgovora Spoiler It's funny reading Štulić's 's thoughts (not funny, at all, actually... he's VERY correct). He HAS been ripped off blind. And it's astounding that it's happened in a socialist context in that I would have thought there would have been SOME acknowledgement of his situation (not a big restitution but... at least... some acknowledgement). The difference in the Serbian & Croatian officials' responses is confounding to me. Unless there are vested interests, in the Croatian side of things - then it tracks, perfectly. They are corrupt. It is something that I found as being the core of how the business operates, internationally... from the smallest of small to the biggest of big. It would take many cases of beer for me to recount to you just the local incidents that I have personally seen... without even getting to the international incidents, of legend. SaE 1

On ni do Utrechta ne dodje. Jednake dosadne kucice u jednakim dosadnim ulicama, naselje neke mediokritetske cinovnicke srednje klase, jezerce s patkama i nista vise. Mentalna pripizdina nevidjenih razmera.

Reveal hidden contents Definitely interesting (& took me awhile to digest). Johnny Štulic was definitely right. But that process is not uncommon - it's how those businesses operate. The principle is... "we are the 'haves'. We 'have' your recordings / property / IP. We will use whatever means possible (usually legal or by obfuscating) to keep this away from you & squeeze it for whatever we can, in the meantime. You will die before the company / business does. We just change names & logos when we cover up. Try suing a company that no longer exists. The whole way the royalty process works supports this. They are not bound to any accountability for what revenue comes in, from where, or how much. They just choose to send you a cheque - or not. And you're supposed to just 'accept' their accounting. The music 'industry' was born via the mafia. It just got 'legitimised', after many decades. It's always been reliant on those wicked rules & methods. So... The fact they audited themselves & sold the IP & physical recordings to themselves at a reduced value (in effect, by 'privatising') and didn't even include the scope of those assets - speaks volumes about the illegality where the core business resides & operates - as does the argument that the term 'phonograms' did not exist (& therefore any legal challenge is irrelevant). The law only supports those who can afford to influence it. This is not, at all, unusual for the business - it's standard practice. SST signed numerous 'essential' (& embryonic) punk bands - husker du, black flag, sonic youth, minutemen, meat puppets, dinosaur jr., sound garden. Most of these muso's still claim to have never seen a royalty cheque from them, despite the records being in print for about 20 years & the initial recordings costing $300 - $1000 to produce. Only 4 bands got their rights back because they had the money to sue. SST has returned the 'rights' to some of these but has held on to the actual recordings. If that's not extortion, then what is? So, yeah, it's an industry standard practice - "we have it, try & get it". Possession is 9/10 of the law. Štulic saying he's the only case in the world not being paid for his music or literary work is näive & a bunch of hyperbole. There are PLENTY of artists who have been treated the same way in an industry that has thrived on these practices. And... much bigger / 'better' artists than him. I keep saying to you, when I moved to gambling, many friends kept asking: "how can you possibly work for such a filthy industry...?" Have you no conscience? It's easy... because I've worked for much worse - and I got out. So... those reels... unrelated except the record company probably trashed or lost track of them when they went through change. ('Digitising' also forced a lot of this stuff to be thrown out... only to find out, later, it might be a mistake). As a uni student, I have been employed many times to take such material to the tip. I was comparing, with a friend of mine, who did the same thing @ waterfront records - the size of the bands we (separately) buried at the St. Peter's tip. There's a LOT of nirvana under Sydney park!! 😂 I will be interested to see if the Azra stuff turns up in the next batch. Have a listen to Tim... it scrapes the surface..
