When incumbent Democrat José Javier Rodríguez lost his Florida state senate seat to Republican challenger Ileana Garcia by just 32 votes in November, the losing party and investigators began asking questions about a suspicious third candidate.

 

A man named Alexis “Alex” Rodriguez — who shared the incumbent’s last name — appeared on the ballot but never campaigned, never spoke publicly, and could not be reached by reporters after he took thousands of votes on Election Day.

 

Now, the mysterious candidate and a former Republican state senator are facing felony charges for crimes stemming from a plot to “confuse voters and siphon votes from the incumbent,” police said in an affidavit filed this week.

The two men met at Artiles’s home in Palmetto Bay, Fla., that same day to discuss a deal in which Alex Rodriguez would run against the incumbent with the same last name in hopes that confused voters would accidentally choose the wrong candidate, according to the affidavit. In exchange, Artiles allegedly offered to pay him $50,000.

 

The alleged plan appeared to work. On Election Day, Alex Rodriguez won more than 6,000 votes without a campaign or name recognition, and many attributed the results to voter mix-ups between the two candidates with the same last name.

Hello... Pa ja nosim masku duze od tebe.

 

Mi smo jos u karantinu. Tek nam otvaraju restorane unutra. Maska se nosi kod nas dok ne sednes za sto iako je napolju. I to napolju su nam otvorili prosle nedelje. 

Ne nosim masku po ulici, parku, hajk, dok vozim, u zgradi gde zivim (ni menadzer ne nosi i ne zahteva od nas al u drugim zgradama nosim), na plazi. 

 

Btw, mustang ne bi otisla na takvo mesto ako su ukinute

Pa ispičkari se zvanicnici Amerike i Kine u sali pred novinarima, pre nego što je počeo zvanican sastanak. Trebalo je da puste novinare u salu i daju kraće izjave od minut dva, pre nego što zatvore vrata, ali i jedni i drugi osuli paljbu pred medijima ko je kriv i gde. Kažu da je posle, kada je glavni sastanak počeo, sve bilo kordijalno. 
 

Predstava za javnost, taman da se Bajden pokaže kao tough guy on China, Kinezi da javno i u lice kažu da gledaju svoja posla jer ubijaju crnce. 
 

Svi sačuvali obraz, a sada mogu na miru da se dogovore i da im niko ništa ne može prigovoriti.

EVANSTON, Ill. — Evanston, Illinois, on Monday became the first U.S. city to make reparations available to its Black residents for past discrimination and the lingering effects of slavery.

 

The program is being funded through donations and revenue from a 3% tax on the sale of recreational marijuana. The city has pledged to distribute $10 million over 10 years.

 

Qualifying residents must either have lived in or been a direct descendant of a Black person who lived in Evanston between 1919 to 1969 and who suffered discrimination in housing because of city ordinances, policies or practices.
