Iz ICE su mu tražili podatke o tim osobama koje su ovi navodno uhapsili kako bi utvrduli o kome se radi, a može da se shvati iz njegovih izjava da je on tražio od njih informaciju o tome da li su to uopšte uradili. Nejasno je ko se kome prvi obratio. On je to predstavio kroz neki indijanski politički konstrukt kao da je ICE ponudio njegovom plemenu zaključenje bilateralnog sporazuma o razmeni informacija, što je njegov pogled na stvari kao plemenskog političara. To su mediji pogrešno shvatili, on je pojasnio, a onda su mu lažno nakačili da je nešto walk back-ovao
