The robust Hezbollah defense was also taking its toll on Israeli armor. When Israel finally agreed to a ceasefire and began its withdrawal from the border area, it left behind upwards of 40 armored vehicles, nearly all of them destroyed by expertly deployed AT-3 “Sagger” anti-tank missiles - which is the NATO name for the Russian-made vehicle- or man-deployed, wire-guided, second-generation 9M14 Malyutka - or “Little Baby”.With a range of 3 kilometers, the Sagger proved enormously successful in taking on Israeli tanks, a fact that must have given Israeli armor commanders fits, in large part because the Sagger missile deployed by Hezbollah is an older version (developed and deployed in 1973) of a more modern version that is more easily hidden and deployed and has a larger warhead. If the IDF could not protect its armor against the 1973 “second generation” version, IDF commanders must now be wondering how it can possibly protect itself against a version that is more modern, more sophisticated, and more deadly.http://conflictsforum.org/2006/how-hezbollah-defeated-israel-2/ Edited by Gandalf

Israel humbled by arms from IranBeyond no-man's land, in the east of the village, was evidence of Syrian-supplied hardware. In a garden next to a junction used as an outpost by Hizbollah lay eight Kornet anti-tank rockets, described by Brig Mickey Edelstein, the commander of the Nahal troops who took Ghandouriyeh, as "some of the best in the world".Written underneath a contract number on each casing were the words: "Customer: Ministry of Defence of Syria. Supplier: KBP, Tula, Russia."Brig Edelstein said: "If they tell you that Syria knew nothing about this, just look. This is the evidence. Proof, not just talk."The discovery of the origin of the weapons proved to the Israelis that their enemy was not a ragged and lightly armed militia but a semi-professional army equipped by Syria and Iran to take on Israel. The weapons require serious training to operate and could be beyond the capabilities of some supposedly regular armies in the Middle East. The Kornet was unveiled by Russia in 1994. It is laser-guided, has a range of three miles and carries a double warhead capable of penetrating the reactive armour on Israeli Merkava tanks. Russia started supplying them to Syria in 1998.
Israeli forces were taken by surprise by the sophistication of the anti-tank weapons they faced. They are believed to have accounted for many of the 116 deaths the army suffered. Dozens of tanks were hit and an unknown number destroyed.
Edited by Sirius

Uglenicna vlakna i bespilotne letelice.
Drugim recima:
Until very recently, nation states could name the specific statesor coalitions they considered their most likely and most dangerousadversaries. As a consequence, they felt that they couldknow the military forces they were most likely to fight and theterrain where the combat was most likely to occur. Many ofthe most important rivalries were characterized by arms races, often defined quantitatively in terms of the numbers of troops, cannon, or platforms that could be mobilized, the ranges ofthe weapons available to each side, or other factors that wereperceived as providing competitive advantage.
Kad ono medjutim:
Network Centric Warfare is about human and organizational behavior.NCW is based on adopting a new way of thinking—network-centric thinking—and applying it to militaryoperations. NCW focuses on the combat power thatcan be generated from the effective linking ornetworking of the warfighting enterprise. It ischaracterized by the ability of geographicallydispersed forces (consisting of entities) to create ahigh level of shared battlespace awareness that canbe exploited via self-synchronization and othernetwork-centric operations to achieve commanders’intent. NCW supports speed of command—theconversion of superior information position to action.NCW is transparent to mission, force size, andgeography. Furthermore, NCW has the potential tocontribute to the coalescence of the tactical, operational, and strategic levels of war. In brief, NCWis not narrowly about technology, but broadly aboutan emerging military response to the Information Age.
The entry fee is a ubiquitous, secure, robust, trusted, protected, and routinely used wide-bandwidth net that ispopulated with the information and information services thatour forces need. With power to the edge as our mantra, we see thesolders, sailors, marines, airmen, and civilians of DoD all connected by a network that they can trust and that can facilitatethe building of trusted relationships. Empowered by access toquality information and unconstrained by artificial boundariesand stovepipes, there is no limit to what the men and womenof DoD can accomplish.

snazna prisutnost

EU kupuje oko 20% iranske nafte._58008280_us_iran_oil464x195.gif1. Btw, primetiti gore Iran proizvodi oko 2,5 miliona barela dnevno. Saudijci proizvode npr. 9 miliona.
