After reuniting in 2009, they linked with Sparklehorse's Mark Linkous, who passed away last year, to begin recording again. "Silverlake" was one of the first tracks laid down during that session and, for whatever reason, it didn't make the final cut for the duo's 2010 album, Drawing Down The Moon. But now, their label, Saddle Creek has put out finished and demo versions of the track, the former of which is streaming below. It's, of course, heavy on the dream-pop vibes, but it's also got that darker, yet gorgeous, feel to it thanks to Linkous. Odslušao sam jebeni album Radiohead-a i bio u fazonu: ‘Šta?’ Ja volim da mislim da to što radimo, mi radimo jebeno dobro. Pišu pesmu o jebenom drvetu? Ma, zajebi me sa tim! Drvo staro hiljadu godina? M’rš u pičku materinu! Čovek bi pomislio da su oni napisali pesmu o nekom modernom drvetu ili nekom koje je zasađeno prošle nedelje? Jel vam jasno o čemu govorim?
