The sexual abuse of about 1,400 children at the hands of Asian men went unreported for 16 years because staff feared they would be seen as racist, a report said today.

 

Children as young as 11 were trafficked, beaten, and raped by large numbers of men between 1997 and 2013 in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, the council commissioned review into child protection revealed.

 

And shockingly, more than a third of the cases were already know to agencies.

 

But according to the report's author: 'several staff described their nervousness about identifying the ethnic origins of perpetrators for fear of being thought racist'.

South Yorkshire Police and Crime commissioner Shaun Wright, who has faced calls from the Prime Minister to resign from his taxpayer-funded post, has allegedly been targeted after it was revealed that 1,400 children were sexually exploited over a 16-year period in the town.

 

It follows accusations he and several other senior officials failed to protect the victims from the systemic abuse.

A couple were thrown off a bus and branded racists after singing the Peppa Pig theme tune to their autistic daughter, it has been claimed.

Nick Barnfield and Sarah Cleaves were travelling with their daughter Heidi on a bus from Sheffield to Doncaster when the 15-month-old started crying.

The couple, who live in Rotherham, started singing the song in an effort to cheer their daughter up, but say they were branded racists by another passenger and told to get off the bus by its driver.

The couple claimed the woman, who they say was wearing a hijab, took offence to the snorting sounds in the song and believed they were a reference to how pork is forbidden in Islam though this has not been confirmed.

A customer at a Leicester branch of KFC has said he was “shocked” when he was refused a hand-wipe as it might offend other restaurant-goers.

 

Graham Noakes, 41, said he was astonished when staff at the fast food chain’s outlet in St George’s retail park refused to give him a hand-wipe because it was against its Halal policy.

 

Staff said this was because the wipes are soaked in an alcohol-infused liquid. Alcohol is forbidden in the Muslim Holy book, the Quran.

 

The Leicester-based Federation of Muslim Organisations has called the decision “bizarre”.

Professor Alexandra Jay, who wrote the bombshell report revealing 1,400 young girls were abused in the town over 15 years, said minutes from key meetings have disappeared.

 

Rotherham Council was slammed in her report for ignoring the scandal and its leader and chief executive have both since resigned.

ah, ispraćeno je detaljno na facebook grupi Astronomers. ne poznajem čoveka, ali mi ga je sad žao. košulja me je prvo nasmejala, a sada mi je pomalo mučno da čitam lavine napada, uglavnom iz severne amerike. ne bih nosila tako nešto, ali mislim da ne treba toliko da ga napadaju, naročito nakon njegovog izvinjenja.  pojedini napadači smatraju da takvu košulju ne bi trebalo da oblači čak ni u privatnim situacijama, ni kada ide u pub...pojedini se ograđuju, kao može privatno, ne može na posao etc. sve u svemu, odnos napad/obrana od ovih što vole da piši tamo je 90/10. jedna osoba je u napad diskusiji pomenula i čuveni slučaj sa upotrebom comic sans i otkrićem Higgs bozona...
