izaslo oko 37% glasaca, i to uz zestoko natezanje drzave.

Ako ti jos uvek nije jasno sta se vec odavno dogadja u Egiptu, Siriji itd., mozda procitas sta ti Obama prica a komentatori vec nazvali novom (Obaminom) doktrinom SAD:

Dakle, uglavnom povratak na sedamdesete i osamdesete posle debakla u Vietnamu a ovog puta u Iraku i Avganistanu. Flip floping.

Evo ti naslov BBCija:

Egypt election: Sisi secures landslide win

Niti navodnika niti icega.

Edit:

I dok BBC pominje 1,400 poginulih, u NYT imamo samo ovo:

"Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the former army field marshal who led last summer’s military takeover..."

Andurile, mozes ti to i bolje.

Nije li Obama raised hopes of Arab people onim govorom u Kairu pocetkom prvog mandata?

Jeste.

A posledice osecaju gradjani Egipta.

Imported Repression in the Middle East

A leaked document in June 2014 from Egypt’s ministry of the interior invited tenders for cyber-surveillance technology to combat blasphemy, sarcasm and ‘lack of morality’ - the technology would likely come from the west. Max Gallien reports.

When Egyptian protesters stormed their government’s buildings at the height of the 2011 revolution, they found themselves wading through heaps of shredded paper and torn-up files. What had not been destroyed, they began to photograph and put online, creating a fascinating glimpse into the inner workings of the Egyptian security state. One of the documents leaked in 2011 included an offer made by the UK-based “Gamma Group” to provide the state with a spyware programme entitled “FinFisher” for the price of about a quarter million pounds. FinFisher allows the user to remotely infect computers and monitor communication as well as encrypted data, to read emails, listen to Skype-conversations and even remotely install software. Leaked documents suggested that the Egyptian security services had even once received a free trial version of the software, and been very impressed with the results, however Gamma International quickly denied that it had ever sold the full software to the Egyptian government.

In June 2014, a rather strange leak reignited the debate about Egypt’s cyber security programmes. The Egyptian newspaper “Al-Watan” published a call for tenders issued in May by the Ministry of the Interior, asking intelligence companies to submit proposals for a new cyber monitoring system. The paper outlines the Ministry’s vision of the new “Social Networks Security Hazard Monitoring System”: the programme should be able to conduct wide-ranging searches across social media platforms including Facebook, Youtube and Twitter, and collect information on those involved in violations of law as well as – and this is the key phrase – ‘destructive ideas’. Interestingly, the document actually goes on to offer a list of what it considers to be destructive ideas, including amongst others: blasphemy and skepticism in religion, spreading of rumours and intentional twisting of facts, sarcasm, using inappropriate words, calling for the departure of societal pillars (a clear euphemism for the military), inviting demonstrations, pornography, lack of morality, calling for normalising relations with enemies and circumventing the state’s strategy in this regard.
