Ovde lik koji se bavi aviobezbednošću tvrdi da su spekulacije o samoubistvu đubre, da je postojala kamera u kokpitu i da je već bilo incidenata s tim prekidačem kod raznih avioprevoznika u smislu da su se tokom leta prebacivali u položaj za isključivanje dovoda goriva. To niko drugi ne spominje pa se pitam koliko je pouzdan.

Ovaj izvestaj jednostavno ne nudi dovoljno informacija da bi se bilo sta definitivno zakljucilo.

Ako je izveštaj istinit i prekidači su bili u CUTOFF poziciji to se nikako ne može desiti slučajno ili greškom na elektronici. Oni su mehanički i moraju se podići i onda prebaciti u željeni položaj. Jedina situacija kada se oba stavljaju u CUTOFF poziciju je kada dođe do otkazivanja oba motora i oni se nakon toga iste sekunde vraćaju u RUN poziciju. Ovde to nije slučaj, bili su nekoliko kobnih sekundi u CUTOFF poziciji i onda su vraćeni u RUN kada je drugi pilot skontao šta se dešava. Ovo je gotovo sigurno namerno obaranje od strane jednog od pilota

Ti mali avioni imaju mnogo veci procenat padova nego ovi veliki putnicki. Na zalost nije to nista neobicno.

The report cited people familiar with U.S. officials' early assessment of evidence uncovered in the investigation into the June 12 crash of the 787 Dreamliner in Ahmedabad, India, that killed 260 people.

The AAIB's preliminary report said the fuel switches had switched from run to cutoff a second apart just after takeoff, but it did not say how they were flipped.

India's AAIB, Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Air India and two unions representing Indian pilots did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the Wall Street Journal report. Boeing declined to comment.

On Jul 14th 2025 India's DGCA instructed airlines to check the fuel switches on the Boeing 787 and Boeing 737 aircraft as used by Air India Group, Indigo and Spicejet for possible disengagement of the fuel control switch locking feature according to the SAIB released by the FAA on Dec 17th 2018. The checks have to be completed by Jul 21st 2025.
