The Black Keys have announced their new album will be called 'Turn Blue' via Mike Tyson's Twitter feed, reports Pitchfork.

The boxer posted a tweet earlier this evening (March 21) which read "Turn Blue" followed by a link to the duo's new teaser clip for the record, set to drop on May 13. You can watch the video at the bottom of the page.

The Black Keys reveal new album details, confirm Glastonbury appearance
The band will release 'Turn Blue' on May 12 ahead of a spot at Worthy Farm on June 29

The Black Keys have revealed details of their brand new album, 'Turn Blue'.

The record, which is set for release on May 12, will feature 11 tracks. Scroll down for a full tracklisting. 'Turn Blue' will be The Black Keys' eighth album, and follows their 2011 release 'El Camino'.

'Turn Blue' was produced by Danger Mouse alongside Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney of the band and was recorded at Sunset Sound in Hollywood last summer. Additional recording was done at the Key Club in Benton Harbor, Michigan as well as frontman Auerbach's own Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville earlier this year.

The duo have also revealed that they will be performing at Glastonbury Festival on Sunday June 29 - the final night of the festival - after recently being announced as the final headliner for this year's Latitude festival in July.

Speaking about the album, drummer Carney has said: "We are always trying to push ourselves when we make a record – not repeat our previous work but not abandon it either. On this record, we let the songs breathe and explored moods, textures and sounds. We're excited for the world to hear 'Turn Blue'." In addition, the band have said that the title of the record could refer to a number of things, those being: "A: Suffocation B: Sadness C: Numbness from extreme cold D: A Cleveland late night TV host from the 1960s named Ghoulardi E: All of the above".

The band have also released a new song called 'Fever'. Fans who pre-order the album will receive 'Fever' for free immediately. Scroll down to listen to the song.
