Mozda je mislio na to da bi u LHC bile stvorene sudarom dve cestice priblizno iste brzine, za razliku od slucaja sa kosmickim zracima, gde nije tako?
verovatno, odatle sledi razlicita distribucija produkata reakcije (u svim pravcima u LHC-iju vs. korelisano sa upadnim k. zrakom u atmosferi). mada je u procesu sudaranja situacija malo komplikovanija, posto su nukleoni (protoni u slucaju LHC-ija) izgradjeni od kvarkova i mora kvark-gluona pa se sudari desavaju na tzv. partonskom nivou - izmedju gradivih elemenata jednog protona sa gradivim elementima drugog protona, a svaki od partona nosi deo energije originalnog nukleona.

Moje pitanje: da li je moguce (i koliko je verovatno) da takva stvar kao shto je Hawkingova radijacija ne postoji; kakve bi to posledice imalo po scenario stvaranja MBH u LHC?
sad se opet vracamo na pitanje kvante gravitacije sa pocetka teme- jos uvek ne postoji zvanicna teorija kvante gravitacije, tj. dobro si shvatio, Hawking-ova radijacija nije potvrdjena. LHC ce biti u mogucnosti da posredno detektuje gravitone koji bi trebalo da budu prenosioci gravitacije i cije je postojanje predvidjeno u modelima sa kvantom gravitacijom.

jedan od pokusaja za stvaranjem kvante teorije gravitacije je M teorija (koja radi u 11 dimenzija, tj. zamenjuje 5 string teorija definisanih u 10 dimenzija). medjutim, ova teorija za nas svet u 4 dimenzije nema determinisana predvidjanja tj. ima skoro beskonacno mogucih realnosti u 4D tzv. landscapes. stoga je pod velikim znakom pitanja, posto nema predvidjanja koja se mogu proveriti eksperimetom. drugim recima, bilo sta da LHC pronadje, to ce da se poklopi sa jednim od ogromnog broja landscape-ova. isto tako, ako LHC nista ne pronadje, opet se sve uklapa sa M teorijom. to je veliki problem i dobar broj fizicara teoreticara je kriticki nastrojem prema ovoj teoriji.

mini crne rupe su mogle biti stvorene u ranom svemiru (primordijalne crne rupe) ciju mogucu Hawking-ovu radijaciju mozda mogu detektovati Gamma-ray teleskopi.posto H. radijacija nije potvrdjena, moguce je da ne postoji, odakle sledi da je moguce i da se mini-crne rupe ne raspadaju (mada se naucnici uglavnom slazu da je ovaj scenario gotovo neverovatan). u tom slucaju bi mini crne rupe bile detektovane samo posredno, putem nedostajuce energije u rekonstrukciji signala. one koje imaju brzinu manju od druge kosmicke brzine (11.2 km/s) bi se naselile u centru Zemlje. ponovicu opet, scenario sa neraspadajucim mini crnim rupama je razmatran od strane naucnika i to vrlo konzervativno tj. u najgorem mogucem slucaju i zakljuceno je da takve crne rupe ne predstavljaju opasnost po Zemlju.

Nedovoljno jasno. Dok mi neki geolog ili agronom, dakle ljudi koji se celog zivota bave naukom, ne kazu da je bezbedno, ja u to necu verovati. Advokatski sud se podrazumeva!

prvo su proslog vikenda menjali transformator posto se prethodni bio pokvario, onemogucivsi odrzavanje magneta na 1.9 K (drzali su sitem na stand-by modu od 4.5 K). tokom ove sedmice im je sve islo po planu, magneti su opet bili ohladjeni - do danasnjeg pregrejavanja magneta i curenja helijuma iz sistema za hladjenje u tunel. videcemo kako ce stvari da se odvijaju tokom vikenda.

Preliminarna istraga je utvrdila da je do pregrevanja magneta doslo usled nepravilne elektricne konekcije izmedju dva magneta. Posto je za opravku potrebno da se osteceni sektor ponovo zagreje, a nakon opravke opet ohladi na kriogenske temperature, procenjeno je da ce ceo proces trajati oko dva meseca. da, bas steta. kako sami kazu, za popravku bi bilo dovoljno nekoliko dana, da su u pitanju obicni, a ne superprovodni magneti koje treba naknadno ohladiti. inace, kvarovi i opravke na detekorima su nesto normalno sto se desava na svakom eksperimentu. vise puta sam prisustvovala shut-down-u detektora na eskperimentu na kome radim (nocna mora svakog operatera). ovde je problem sto opravka zahteva mnogo duzi vremenski interval.

LHC ponovo startuje u rano prolece 2009. U naredne tri do cetiri nedelje ce se obavljati istraga sektora u kojima je doslo do pregrevanja magneta. U CERN-u procenjuju da ce vreme za opravke nakon istrage onemoguciti pocetak operacija akceleratora pre obaveznog zimskog shut-down-a predvidjenog za remont akceleratorskog kompleksa. Svecana ceremonija povodom zvanicnog pocetka LHC eksperimenta je juce (21/10/08) odrzana u CERN-u.Gost iz Srbije:djelicinthetunelzr8.jpgDa nije bilo ove inauguracije ne bih saznala da je Djelic ministar za nauku.
