Some of the pessimism about AI among young people is "the opposite of reality," Bezos said. AI will mean fewer workers are needed in jobs that exist today, but it will also create far more opportunities and increase productivity, he said.

The Core Challenge: The Data Problem

Training powerful Physical AI models requires vast amounts of high-quality data from real-world manufacturing and engineering environments. However, factories and industrial companies treat their processes as highly sensitive trade secrets. They are reluctant — or outright unwilling — to share detailed operational data.

As a result, most Physical AI companies rely heavily on simulations. While useful, simulations can never fully capture the complexity, variability, and edge cases of real production environments. This creates a fundamental limitation: models trained mostly in simulation often struggle when deployed in the messy reality of actual factories.

Prometheus: Jeff Bezos’ Bold Bet on Vertical Integration

This is where Prometheus (also known as Project Prometheus) enters the picture. Founded by Jeff Bezos (who serves as co-CEO alongside Vik Bajaj, formerly of Verily), the startup is taking a radically different approach.

Instead of relying solely on simulations or waiting for factories to voluntarily share data, Prometheus is reportedly building its own industrial holding company structure. Ja ne kapiram više loženje na učenje bilo kog stranog jezika u AI eri i mislim da će vremenom znatno opasti.

Mojoj generaciji (milenijalci) je učenje jezika nametano kao prioritet svih prioriteta. Tako da vidim oko mene ljudi koji su dobili decu šalju ih otprilike čim nauče da govore na jezike. Tako da će se verovatno održati to znanje i u generaciji naše dece, ali mislim da će unuke već boleti ćošak da gube vreme na bilo koji strani jezik, jer im u poslu neće trebati ni za šta. Biće kao koristan dodatak, lepo da se zna, ali ne nužno kao danas.

Ja mislim da smo mi jedno 10 godina udaljeni od univerzalnog prevodioca, kao u Zvezdanim stazama. Već sada u neki DeepL možeš da ubaciš i komplikovane tekstove i dobiješ odlične prevode, pitanje je trenutka kada ćeš moći da staviš neki gedžet na glavu ili rever od košulje i odeš u neku Mongoliju da opušteno komuniciraš sa svima na koje naiđeš.

Ovo za čet gpt, da, ako treba da se isprepisuješ iz Srbije s nekim odnekud. Ostalo ništa. Jezik je stvar na kojoj se misli, kad ga znaš. Misli i radi i sve. Međutim, meni francuski nije delovao perspektivno (iako smo bili predviđeni za školu s francuskim)

AI je pandorina kutija, jer stasavaju generacije koje nece skoro nista uciti, jer misle da ce AI za njih da obavi posao.
