Možda je ona budala i sto puta, ali jako lepo ogoleva to kako prosečan hc ljubitelj plavih republikanaca vidi sebe, kad već govorimo o virtue signallingu. A to što misliš da je par stotina glasova zaista odlučilo da SAD zarate sa Irakom, pa ono, možeš da veruješ da neko drugi umesto Buša ne bi uradio isto, jer opšte je poznato da plavi republikanci ne vole ratove

 

Kapiram da si potpuno amerikanizovan, ali nisi svestan koliko sve to vaše loženje izgleda naivno i budalasto ostatku sveta. Jebote, matori ljudi veruju da će starci, koji su ceo život radili za establišment i na jačanju istog, nešto da promene

Al Gore bi sigurno bombardovao Avganistan za 9/11 ali za Irak su Klinton Demsi imali jasnu politiku protiv invazije. Deo njih je pristao tek posle falsifikovanja dokaza da bi se “pokazali”.

Ali, tesko da bi to i sami falsifikovali i gurali onoliko skupi rat koji im nije bio u interesu umesto socijalnih programa za njihove glasace. Demsi su intervencionisti tipa Srbija ili Libija, a neokonzerve su pravili prave invazije sa mnogo vecim posledicama. Nije isto pobiti milion ljudi i deset hiljada - sramota je zapravo tako relativizovati.

Lawyer Who Sued Treasury Department for Exxon Nominated to Be Agency’s General Counsel

Suing an agency on behalf of corporate America appears to be a good path to a senior government role.

Last week, the White House announced a slate of nominations to fill roles in the Biden administration. Among them is attorney Neil MacBride, who has been tapped to be general counsel for the Treasury Department.

 

Right now, MacBride is a partner at the law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell. He formerly served as Biden’s chief counsel on the Senate. Oh, and he once sued the very department he’ll be working in on behalf of energy giant Exxon. For an administration that has pushed a whole of government approach to tackle the climate crisis, it’s an odd choice.
