centers across the United States. There have already been two deportation flights back to Iran, where people were sent back to their killers. They cannot send any more people there.

Crklli dabogda. Ovo je ono o cemu je Remark pisao, fasizam 1/1.

Washington Post:

Days before protests erupted in Iran in late December, Israeli officials notified the Iranian leadership via Russia that they would not launch strikes against Iran if Israel were not attacked first. Iran responded through the Russian channel that it would also refrain from a preemptive attack, diplomats and regional officials with knowledge of the exchange said.

The communications between Israel and Iran — and the role Russia played as the intermediary — were unusual given the hostility between the two Middle Eastern rivals, which engaged in a 12-day war in June.

But the contacts reflected Israel’s desire to avoid being perceived as escalating tensions toward Iran or spearheading any new attacks against it at a time when Israel was preparing a significant military campaign against Hezbollah, the Iran-aligned militia in Lebanon, according to the diplomats and regional officials. The private reassurances contrasted with Israel’s public rhetoric late last year, when its officials openly hinted at the possibility of carrying out renewed strikes on Iran to roll back what they said was the country’s rapidly replenishing ballistic missile stockpile.

Although Iranian officials responded positively to the Israeli outreach, they were wary of Israel’s intentions, said two officials with knowledge of the message exchange. Iran believed that even if the Israeli assurances were genuine, they left open the possibility that the U.S. military would carry out attacks on Iran as part of a campaign coordinated by the two allies, while Israel was training its firepower strictly on Hezbollah, the officials said.

Still, “for Iran, it was a good deal” to stay out of any Israel-Hezbollah clash, said a senior official in the region who, like others interviewed for this report, spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive communications. U.S. officials have said that Iran’s substantive support for Hezbollah, in any case, has already decreased as Tehran grapples with domestic upheaval.

It’s not clear now how the furious protests in Iran in recent weeks, which have challenged the government’s grip on power, have changed Israel’s and Iran’s calculations and whether the two countries will still abide by their private agreement.

Iran protesters turn to Bluetooth messaging app to bypass internet blackouts

As Iran government cracks down on internet access, protestors are turning to offline Bluetooth messaging apps like Bitchat to stay connected.

With anti-government protests in Iran intensifying in the last few weeks, authorities have stepped up their crackdown on both protestors and internet access. Even as Elon Musk-owned SpaceX is offering free Starlink satellite service in the country, the Iranian government is reportedly tracking down people using it to share videos of the protests.

With the Iranian regime cracking down on all forms of internet, people in the country are turning to apps like Bitchat, an open-sourced Bluetooth-based messaging app. Developed by Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey, the app does not require an active internet connection. Available on both iOS and Android devices, a report by Reuters suggests Bitchat’s use in Iran has more than tripled as people are looking for workarounds.

What is Bitchat, and how is it helping Iranian protestors?

Launched in July last year, Bitchat is a messaging app that works offline. Unlike WhatsApp and Telegram, which require an active internet connection, Bitchat needs no registration, no login, no email and uses Bluetooth to send and receive messages. Also, unlike X (formerly Twitter), which stores data on a server, Bitchat has no servers. Instead, the app uses peer-to-peer technology, allowing protestors to directly send messages from one device to another.

Since Bluetooth has a pretty short range, Bitchat works at a range of around 100 meters. But when people physically move from one place to another, they constantly join and leave what are called “Bluetooth clusters.” Dorsey says the range of the app depends on the number of users connected, which means the more people using it, the wider the effective range becomes.

As it turns out, Iranians are also turning to Noghteha (meaning dots in Persian), a closed-source fork of Bitchat that comes with full Persian/Farsi support, an improved UI and features like Emergency Data Wipe that cater to the local population. At the time of writing, Noghteha had more than 50,000 downloads on the Google Play Store, but the number may be higher because of Bluetooth transfer, sideloading and peer-to-peer sharing.

airspace has since reopened, while assets scrambled from Al Udeid Air Base were ordered to return and remain on standby. The mission was halted at the final stage.

Trump has told advisers he will only authorize military action that delivers a clear, decisive outcome. Officials reportedly warned that a strike could not guarantee regime collapse and that the U.S. may lack sufficient regional assets to counter a large scale Iranian retaliation.

Odvratni, zli i senilni oranžgutan puke
