Reentry began with the separation of the service module, followed by reentry into Earth's atmosphere at impressive speeds of up to approximately 38.000 km/h. During this phase, the capsule was enveloped in a plasma fireball, which also caused a communications blackout with control for several minutes.  

From there, a precise sequence unfolded: first, the stabilizing parachutes (drogues) opened at an altitude of approximately 6-7 [kilo]meters, then the three main parachutes deployed just below 2.000 meters. This phase drastically reduced the spacecraft's speed, bringing it from hundreds of kilometers per hour to approximately 30-38 km/h upon impact with the water. 

The splashdown occurred at 17:07 PM local time (2:07 AM CET), approximately 80 miles off the California coast.
