Predavao je 12 godina ekonomiju na Sydney Uni i ima Ozi drzavljanstvo, a kcer mu i dalje zivi ovde: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/may/25/yanis-varoufakis-australias-negative-gearing-is-scandalous “The vast majority of the social net funding comes from the poorer people,” he says. “If you look at how the system works – and this is how it was designed from 1945 onwards, in Britain where it started, and in Australia afterwards – it’s the working class paying for the working class, primarily. The rich contribute a very small quantity of money to this. Don’t forget they have the best lawyers, and they have the best accountants, and they know how to work the system. Ukratko: plutokratija. Varoufakis is unequivocal in his conviction that current growth – which he likens to a Ponzi scheme – needs to be replaced with growth that comes from producing goods. “Australia is switching away from producing stuff. Even good companies like Cochlear, who have been very innovative in the past, have been financialised. They’re moving away from doing stuff to shuffling paper around. Idemo, Dafina, Jezda, upumpavaj kapital u nekretnine...
Nekako donesem do kola i kući... 9 1

noskich Posted March 7, 2023 Author Posted March 7, 2023 (edited) Vrlo interesantan video iz Havane, a jos interesantnija prva dva komentara ljudi iz Melburna: @danutahanyga4834 2 days ago I've been to Cuba and never noticed anyone trying to stop me from wandering freely around the country. I went where I wanted to go. I was surprised at how safe I felt. No thugs in the street, no scruffy youth or tattooed bogans one sees in Australia. Or feral people. In fact, we were able to hire a tour guide who specialized in taking tourists off the tourist tracks. It was a wonderful experience. He had a degree and worked as a teacher. Some places in Havana looked like those in this video. But the place is so vibrant and colourful you just feel happy there. People are surprisingly cultured and lovely. At night, in the centre of Havana, there was music on every corner. I know an Australian lady who fell in love with Cuba and wanted to move there permanently. To make a living there, she did a diploma in teaching English to non-English speakers hoping she could get a teaching position. Her application was declined on the basis that Cuba requires a higher standard of education, a degree, in the teaching staff. The last time I saw her, she sold up in Australia, packed her bags, and was heading to Latin America permanently so as to live somewhere near Cuba. I loved Cuba. Lots of tooting in the city streets. Even the tooting is happy. I returned home and landed in Melbourne. The day was sunny yet the ambience felt heavy, depressing and oppressive. Every time I return from overseas I detect this "heavy wet blanket" in the air. Upon returning from Cuba, the contrast made me depressed, no end. It's such an oppressive country in comparison to Cuba. https://www.linkedin.com/in/yehuda-kovesh-87a789162/ https://medicoanthropologist.blogspot.com/ @yehudakovesh5016 2 days ago I am from Melbourne and currently based in Havana. I never thought I would ever live anywhere else but Melbourne, but I am a traveller like most australians and I can empathize with danuta's sensation coming home from each trip with a heavy heart. I work in International Humanitarian medicine and have lived in many countries and Cuba has been a great human and just experience. I dont think I will ever return to live in Melbourne but I still travel and do humanitarian medicine and discover other countries and cultures but always it is Havana that I long to come back to. I have visited every spanish speaking country in Latin America with the exception of Paraguay. Cuba lacks in material terms but none of the other countries hold a candle to Cuba when it comes to the human side of life. It is a highly educated , socially conscious society, the fact that it is a poor country , makes it more amazing. No corruption or Violence of the other Latin american countries. Cuban development is measured in human terms and not in dollar terms. Yehuda.Kovesh MD Endocrinologist and Anthropologist Edited March 7, 2023 by noskich
