No7 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Russia blames Nato for heroin surge from Afghanistan The head of Russia's federal drug control agency has accused Nato of not doing enough to curb the production of heroin in Afghanistan.Victor Ivanov said at least 30,000 people died in Russia every year from heroin, 90% of it from Afghanistan. He blamed the Obama administration for ending a military drive to destroy opium poppy crops in Afghan fields. The US said the practice was alienating farmers and driving them to support the Taliban. This is not the first time Mr Ivanov has lambasted Nato for failing to stamp out drug production in Afghanistan. He said leaving poppy fields guaranteed immunity for drug producers. Russia says the consequence has been a flood of cheap heroin in to Central Asia and Russia. Mr Ivanov said drug production in Afghanistan was now a global destabilising factor, particularly for Russia. Russia is believed to have around five million drug addicts, half of whom are addicted to heroin. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8540726.stm
barrcode Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 "Umukni!" - reče Huan Karlos. A Spanish judge has accused the Venezuelan government of assisting two rebel groups which plotted to kill Colombia's President Alvaro Uribe.Judge Eloy Velasco charged six members of Basque separatist group Eta and seven members of Colombian rebel group Farc with various offences. He said he believed Farc had asked for Eta's help in a plot to kill Colombian officials in Spain, including Mr Uribe. He said the two groups benefited from "Venezuelan government co-operation". In a 26-page indictment Mr Velasco said an investigation launched in 2008 has turned up evidence "that demonstrates Venezuelan governmental co-operation in the illicit collaboration between Farc and Eta". Both groups are listed as terrorist organisations by the US and EU. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8543349.stm
No7 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) Оно што се причало, ставара се полако држава ЕУ. Germany And France Secretly Planning A New Europe-Wide Federal Government After Greece Is Bailed OutEurope is set to become more federal under secret plans being drawn up in the capital of Brussels, according to Der Spiegel. The German paper reports that an economic government for the Euro zone is being designed and will be implemented as part of a post-Greece overhaul of the continent's government. The plan, developed by the German and French, is designed to sort out the problems of troubled states before they grow to large, and will target all Euro zone members and states which peg their currencies to the Euro, according to Der Spiegel. There is the possibility that economic sanctions for financial profligacy will be included in the legislation, which will also seek to bring in order Euro zone economic discrepancies. It seems likely that Merkel and Sarkozy are just waiting for Greece to show some backbone before they move forward with the grand federalization of the European economy. Tursku je aktuelni obračun Erdogana sa vojskom doveo malte ne na prekretnicu i ovakav vid pritiska od strane glavnog NATO saveznika je poslednja stvar koja im je trenutno potrebna.
