Paris Masters

 

I have been at the Paris masters this week and thought I would share a story. So basically I was sitting on an empty court 5 minutes after Djokovic had beaten Simon and dropped his serve multiple times in the second set. I asked a security guard if he knew who was practicing today and he told me Tsonga would be on court soon so I decided to wait. I was waiting on the court alone when Djokovic, in his match kit, popped his head around the door and walked onto court. He seemed very agitated and was entirely alone. He changed shirts and found some balls next to the umpire's chair. He started to hit serve after serve and berated himself when one landed out. This wasn't a professional player surrounded by an entourage.

 

I thought I would share this story because I was amazed by the level of dedication. It was a great experience, it was just me and the world no.1 practicing serves for ten minutes before anyone else noticed he was practicing!
