Specijalnost australijske plutokratije je smrt u pritvoru: Officials confirmed that at least 475 Aboriginal people have died in custody since the end of the 1991 royal commission. https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2021/may/26/aboriginal-deaths-in-custody-reports-to-be-increased-to-every-six-months-after-years-of-delays Kada je rec o logorima: https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2021/jan/22/indigenous-prison-population-continues-to-increase-while-non-indigenous-incarceration-rate-falls The Indigenous imprisonment rate is about 1,935 people per 100,000 adults (when adjusted for the average age among Indigenous Australians), an increase from about 1,458 people per 100,000 adults in 2010-2011. More than 30 countries condemn Australia at UN over high rates of child incarceration Read more The imprisonment rate for non-Indigenous Australians was about 166 people per 100,000 adults. There were 30,200 non-Indigenous people in prisons across Australia on average from July 2019 to June 2020, a decrease from 30,767 in 2018-2019. Tokom ispitivanja borave u samici, to nekad traje i mesecima. UN je sankcije protivu DPRK zasnovala velikim delom na "svedocenjima ovog coveka koji je priznao da je lagao kada su ga suocili sa istinom: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jan/19/north-korea-defector-change-story-shin-dong-hyuk North Korean defector changes story after seeing father in video Shin Dong-hyuk, famous escaper from Pyongyang who testified to UN, revises account after seeing father he thought dead Yeonmi Park je postala multimilionerka na osnovu svojih nevidjenih lazi o DPRK, nebrojeno puta je samoj sebi uskakala u usta pa menjala izjave: https://thediplomat.com/2014/12/the-strange-tale-of-yeonmi-park/ http://jooparkblog.blogspot.com/2014/12/yeonmi-park-defector-who-fooled-world.html Guardian lepo objasnio: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/13/why-do-north-korean-defector-testimonies-so-often-fall-apart Cash payments in return for interviews with North Korean refugees have been standard practice in the field for years. Initially, the payment was to cover the cost of meals and local transport, which was approximately $30 in the late 1990s when I first began interviewing in China and South Korea. However, the fees had risen to $200 per hour by the time I attempted to interview people from North Korea in May 2014. A government official from the South Korean ministry of unification told me the range of fees could vary wildly, from $50-500 per hour, depending on the quality of information. But this practice raises a difficulty: how does the payment change the relation between a researcher and an interviewee, and what effect will it have on the story itself? This practice also drives the demand for “saleable stories”: the more exclusive, shocking or emotional, the higher the fee. North Korean refugees have become well aware of what the interviewer wants to hear. Whether speaking to the UN, US Congress or western media, the questions are the same every time: why did you leave North Korea, and how terrible is it? With the number of defectors reaching 20,000 in 2010, first-person testimonies have become the norm, and have increasingly come to involve younger victims with more tragic, dramatic, visual and emotional accounts. This raises another issue, because in my experience one-on-one interviews tend to generate more exaggerated stories. Although there are ways to confirm information through cross-examination and by consulting multiple sources, these methods are highly time-consuming, while a significant amount of the information disclosed by a single source is simply unverifiable given the fiercely secretive nature of the DPRK.

Podjes u Broadmeadows i postane ti jasno zasto opstina on 300k ljudi ima 500 slucajeva dnevno. Bukvalno, elephant in the room.
