James Marshall Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Majority of Libyans Supported NATO’s War https://medium.com/@_alhamra/majority-of-libyans-supported-natos-war-6380e62f539a A Gallup poll taken in 2012 found the following: 75% favored NATO’s actions in their country. 54% approved of U.S. leadership, which according to Gallup is the highest approval rating “ever recorded in the Middle East and North Africa region, outside of Israel.” 61% considered members of Ghadafi’s regime to be a major security threat. 62% considered Al-Qaeda and other Islamic militants to be a major security threat. Toliko o tome. . Survey Methods Results are based on face-to-face interviews with approximately 1,000 adults per country, aged 15 and older, conducted in March and April 2012 in Algeria, Egypt, Libya, and Tunisia. Some areas of Libya were excluded for security reasons. Excluded areas represent approximately 20% of the population. For results based on the total sample of national adults, one can say with 95% confidence that the maximum margin of sampling error is ±3.3 percentage points. The margin of error reflects the influence of data weighting. In addition to sampling error, question wording and practical difficulties in conducting surveys can introduce error or bias into the findings of public opinion polls. Policy Implications: The U.S. and its Western allies face an almost unprecedented opportunity to forge a true partnership with an Arab country that has both a government and population well-disposed toward positive relations. Many Libyans are genuinely appreciative of the support the U.S. and some European countries provided in bringing the Gadhafi regime to an end and want their new government to pursue closer relations with the West. Libyans perceive many threats to their newfound freedom and largely share the West's concern of Islamic militants. The U.S. and the West now have a window in which to capitalize on Libyan goodwill and help the country to revive its economy, establish security, and emerge as a responsible member of the global community. JOHNNY HEALD, MANAGING DIRECTOR OF ORB INTERNATIONAL, SAID:“For the first time in more than 40 years, Libyan citizens are free to determine their own country’s future, so it has never been more important for the wider world to understand their attitudes and values. Libyans have told us that their lives are getting better - which should be a cause for celebration around the world – and they are also clear about what immediate priorities should be, as well as a roadmap for the future. Libyans are looking outwards and the majority believe stronger and closer ties with Britain, the United States and Europe are important – it is equally important that the West listens to them.” Nažalost.
laser lotus Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Nema. Podaci iz 2011 se nisu promenili. Sa Wikipedije: Military situation in Libya on 10 December 2016 Under the control of the Tobruk-led Government and Libyan National Army Under the control of the Government of National Accord and Allies Under the control of the National Salvation Government Controlled by the Mujahedeen Councils of Derna, Benghazi and Adjabiya Controlled by local forces Controlled by Tuareg forces Effects of the war As of February 2015, damage and disorder from the war has been considerable. There are frequent electric outages, little business activity, and a loss in revenues from oil by 90%. Over 4,000 people have died from the fighting, and some sources claim nearly a third of the country's population has fled to Tunisia as refugees.

laser lotus Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Ne budali. Taj građanski rat je posljedica dešavanja iz 2011.
Eraserhead Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Ne budali.
iDemo Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Nego, kad ce moderator da promeni ime na topić??
