Sad zamisli negde izmedju tri sata u kojima se ništa ne dešava, nema atraktivnih prizora, čak ni seksa, tuče, bilo čega. Možeš komotno i da gledaš kroz prozor.

Samo sam uocio "rupu" u tourdatesima izmedju Danske i Dablina, koja se ukazala tacno u vreme ovogodisnjeg "izlaza". A nedavno u Novom Sadu cuh da se pominje kao mogucnost, pa dozvolih sebi da se ponadam, iako svestan charshijskog karaktera cele priche.

BornToRun Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Bruce Springsteen is about to release a new album and play the Super Bowl XLIII halftime show, but there's another project in the works that will be received joyously by fans: a deluxe reissue of 1978's "Darkness on the Edge of Town" that will be similar to the 2005 30th-anniversary boxed set treatment of "Born to Run."The "Darkness" package "would involve remastering that record, doing the kind of super-creative reconstruction and documentary of how it all came about and finding usable live footage from that point in time," says Springsteen manager Jon Landau. "That's a big one, and not that far from completion, and when we can find six weeks to sit down and finish it, I'm sure we will.""Born to Run" included a Grammy-winning documentary about its creation and a 1975 concert from London. It was a huge hit with fans, debuting at No. 18 on The Billboard 200 with first-week sales of more than 53,000 copies.One endeavor dividing Springsteen devotees down the middle is the Wal-Mart exclusive "Greatest Hits" album, which went on sale Jan. 13. Landau protects Springsteen's image fiercely and the controversy surrounding the deal did not escape his attention."I know these discussions happen online and elsewhere, and I don't want to get bogged down in them, but let's start with the premise that Bruce is already in Wal-Mart," Landau says. "Wal-Mart has been 15 percent of our sales in recent years. It's not a question of going into Wal-Mart; we're there. They, and other retailers, are all looking for some way to differentiate themselves and we try to accommodate each one."Besides, Landau adds, "We're not doing any advertising for Wal-Mart. We haven't endorsed Wal-Mart or anybody else. AC/DC are expected to top the bill on June 27.It is also speculated that he will perform on Exit festival in Serbia.Springsteen is also expected to be the Saturday headliner for this year's Glastonbury. Yesterday he confirmed European live dates in Holland, Belgium, Finland, Norway, Germany, Austria, Sweden and Denmark across June and July.He releases his new studio album Working On A Dream on January 26. Seeger was singing about environmental catastrophe and the plight of indigenous people when Sting and Bono were still dreaming of getting rich I didn't get into Springsteen until the late Eighties. If you were on the British Left in those days, displays of traditional masculinity were not condoned. So I allowed myself to be put off by what many fans liked, the machismo, the bandana, the singlet, the songs about cars (I quite like all that as well now - times change), the hard-pounding stadium rock. Then I heard Nebraska, ten bleak modern folk songs recorded in Springsteen's front room, still sublime 27 years after it was released, and the material was so good, so moving, I set about steeping myself in the rest of the oeuvre.Springsteen has been a multimillionaire since Born to Run went big in 1975 and a global superstar since Born in the USA went stratospheric in 1984. Quite a feat, then, to remain a man of the people, but there's nothing Hollywood about him, no suggestion of dilettante radical chic, which is why he was a safe choice for the heartlands tuned into HBO last Sunday. A wife convicted of killing her husband last year offered in her defence that she had snapped when he insisted on turning off her new Bruce CD. ?I mean, who doesn't like Springsteen, for God's sake?? the killer implored. Her surprise illustrates the Boss's enduring popularity. He has sold 65 million albums in America and next Sunday will play at half-time in the Super Bowl to huge TV ratings. Grassroots America has kept faith with him because he doesn't sing about limos and hotels, he sings about Main Street characters and places. And because he can still write a great melody, and because he's a showman, with a great sense of fun, theatre and cheesy rock melodrama.
