Sarver je... ne baš pametan: Since Sarver's name has been coming up a lot lately, I've decided to compile a brief history of cost-cutting trades by Bobby for your reference. Note: I ONLY included trades that were cost-cutting moves and haven't included trades that were just plain bad (such as Isaiah Thomas to the Celtics for the eventual draft rights to Skal Labissière (which the suns traded away), an unprotected draft pick for Brandon Knight etc etc.) Since Sarver took over the franchise the Suns traded away either the player or his draft rights to the following players: PG: Rajon Rondo/ Quincy Pondexter SG: Bogdan Bogdanovic / Rudy Fernandez SF: Gordon Hayward / Loul Deng / Kezie Okpala PF: TJ Warren / Kurt Thomas /Skal Labissiere C: Serge Ibaka / Marcin Gortat / Big Papa G For a collective return of: cash considerations (multiple times) Jackson Vroman (10 games in a Suns uniform) Marquise Chriss Keon Clark (never played in a Suns uniform) Ben Handlogten (never played in a Suns uniform) Of the above trades, only the trade for Marquise Chriss (Bogdan Bogdanovic, Skal Labissiere, Papa) wasn't a trade that wasn't strictly to reduce cost. I did include it in there because reportedly part of the motivation was that the Suns didn't want to give Bogdan Bogdanovic the non-rookie scale contract he was seeking (BB ended up signing for 3 year / $27,000,000 contract with the Sacramento Kings). Special mention: The Joe Johnson trade could be considered a Sarver cheapness move as well. The Suns were reportedly low balling Joe Johnson (they were $833,333 per year apart), however there was a report that Joe Johnson asked the Suns to not match because he wanted to have a larger role (in phoenix he would have been the 4th wheel). A few notes: - The draft rights to Gordon Hayward were technically traded before Sarver purchased the franchise, but according to reports shedding Thomas G’s salary was a requirement for the purchase of the franchise. - As part of the Loul Deng trade the Suns also acquired a future first rounder – I didn’t include this in the acquisition part because that first rounder ended up being Rajon Rondo (who never played in a Suns uniform). - The draft right to Rajon Rondo were traded in exchange for a future first rounder I didn’t include this in the acquisition part because that first rounder ended up being Rudy Fernandez (who never played in a Suns uniform). 1

Edited August 9, 2020 by Micko8
J.R. Jos Dame ocigledno nema noge danas, svaka kratka.
