Edited July 4, 2013 by alpiner
alpiner Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 (edited) Malo statistike. '06, i '09. Alonso-16, a Massa-14.Button nema ovde neke značajnije reezultate. Ovde bi pre mogli da reaguju timovi, ali i oni su ucenjeni od sponzoraFormula 1 drivers pledge to boycott German GP if tyre dramas returnFormula 1 drivers have warned that they will boycott the German Grand Prix if there is any repeat of the Silverstone tyre problems over the weekend.Following a meeting of the Grand Prix Drivers' Association (GPDA) in the Nurburgring paddock on Thursday night, the body issued a strongly worded statement making clear its unhappiness at the current situation in F1.Although Pirelli is adamant that the Kevlar-belted tyres it has brought to the Nurburgring will not suffer a repeat of the dramatic failures that blighted the race at Silverstone, the GPDA is not fully satisfied. It has made it clear that if there are problems with the tyres at any point during the German Grand Prix weekend, then its members will withdraw. The statement said: "The drivers of the Grand Prix Drivers' Association wish to express their deepest concerns about the events that took place at Silverstone."We trust that the changes made to the tyres will have the desired results and that similar problems will not occur during the German GP weekend."We are ready to drive our cars to the limit, as we always do, and as it is expected by our teams, sponsors and fans."However, the drivers have decided that, if similar problems should manifest themselves during the German GP, we shall immediately withdraw from the event, as this avoidable problem with the tyres endangers again the lives of drivers, marshals and fans."Four drivers suffered blow-outs during the British GP - with Pirelli blaming a combination of low tyre pressures, adverse camber, tyre swapping and kerbs for the problems. The new Kevlar-belted tyres used in the German GP will be for this event only(do sada su korišćeni metalni), with a new specification - featuring 2012 construction and '13 compounds - being used from the Hungarian Grand Prix.http://www.autosport...rce=mostpopular Edited July 5, 2013 by alpiner
alpiner Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 (edited) Još malo o gumamaF1 tyre tech analysis: camber, pressures and why reverse tyres?Pirelli's post-British Grand Prix analysis identified several factors that contributed to its tyre failures - reversing tyres, low pressures and extreme camber angles.AUTOSPORT's technical writer Craig Scarborough explains all.REVERSING TYRESReversing tyres - running them on the opposite side to the one they are designed for - is not a new trick but has come and gone with different tyre suppliers.Tyre dramas will mean changesPirelli tyres are asymmetric, requiring the outer face of the tyre is mounted on the outer face of the wheel, but they are not strictly directional, meaning that a reversed tyre will work.It is common practice for teams to reverse a worn set of tyres and the outer shoulder of the tyre is still the outer shoulder when reversed and there does not appear to be a performance advantage.Instead, it is about teams aiming to get more use from worn sets because tyres on one side of the car will wear more the other.Because of the asymmetric design of the steel belt in the pre-Nurburgring tyres, there is the problem that a reversed tyre has the joint between its two ends pointing in the opposite direction, making it easier for it to separate if there is a problem with the tyre's shoulder, as happened at Silverstone.TYRE PRESSURESTyre pressure is a key tuning aid, with stability, traction and warm-up characteristics all affected. At Silverstone, teams ran lower pressures, perhaps below Pirelli's recommended settings. This makes the tyre move about more as it is supported less by internal air pressure and with the 2013 tyres having stiffer shoulders and more pliable sidewalls, they will deform more and place greater stresses on the shoulder join.CAMBER ANGLEThis is the angle of the wheel and tyre assembly relative to the vertical and, at a standstill, the front camber angle is usually around 3.5 degrees from vertical with the rear set at between zero and one degree.Sergio Perez's tyre damage, British GP 2013, SilverstoneAs the top of the tyre tilts inwards towards the centre of the car, this measurement is negative and the inner shoulder will bear more of the load.As the car moves around the track, the suspension will vary these camber angles by several degrees.Such an increase in camber increases the stresses on the tyres inside the shoulder. At Silverstone, the drivers were putting tyres inside the kerb to straightline certain corners, meaning the loads on the inner shoulder of the tyre would be far higher than usual.Any cuts or imperfections in the tyres could lead to the catastrophic failures seen during the race.Currently, these set-up tricks remain unregulated (although Pirelli has asked for this to change as soon as possible) so teams are free to run the tyres outside Pirelli's recommendations in pursuit of performance.http://www.autosport...rce=mostpopular Edited July 5, 2013 by alpiner

alpiner Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 (edited) Raikkonen says Lotus stronger, but rules out poleKimi Raikkonen is optimistic that the Lotus will prove more suited to the Nurburgring than it was to Silverstone this weekend, but does not expect to be in the pole fight. After a muted British Grand Prix, from which he still might have taken second had his strategy been different, Raikkonen was in the top five in both Friday sessions in Germany."It is more or less the same car as we had last week. I think part of it is for sure the circuit, it is a bit better [for Lotus]," said Raikkonen."It is a more high downforce circuit and probably suits us better than the low downforce, and also it is a long time since we used the soft tyres on a normal race circuit, which was at Shanghai. For some reason they seem to be a bit better for us."He said a top-six spot is the most Lotus can expect for qualifying, but is more optimistic for the race."The front four cars will be very fast in qualifying, but the race is always a different story," Raikkonen said."I think the weather will get much hotter, so that should only help us."If we can put our cars in the top six tomorrow then that is a very good starting place, then we have to see where we end up in the race."We have to work on the cars a bit to get it a bit better - the long runs felt bad but the car wasn't with the right set-up."I think you can expect more or less similar to what we have done in previous races, where we qualified and we were a bit better in the race."http://www.autosport...t.php/id/108577 Edited July 5, 2013 by alpiner
Jimmy Kowalski Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Da, neka bude best of the rest.. To je maksimum u ovom trenutku..
