City tell Milan: Stump up or Tevez will rot in reserves for two yearsPublished 22:30 24/01/12 By David McDonnell (21)Recommend (1) . Manchester City have often been accused of ruining football with their obscene wealth and ambition to be the world’s biggest club. But, with the exception of Carlos Tevez and his advisor Kia Joorabchian, there will be few who will take issue with their hardline stance against their erstwhile captain for his self-imposed exile in Argentina.Tevez has lost £9.3MILLION during City dispute In revealing the extra-ordinary financial penalties they have imposed on Tevez for his stay-away antics, City have taken a sledgehammer to the popular belief that player power rules in modern-day football. By imposing fines, stopping his wages, withholding loyalty bonuses and refusing to let him join AC Milan – his preferred destination – on the cheap, City have shown they will not be taken for mugs by anyone. They have grown tired of the posturing of Tevez and his advisors, and decided to make public the disciplinary measures and fines they have imposed on a man who was once a cult hero among City fans. And in a further flexing of City’s muscles, chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak, a man who rarely speaks publicly, launched an unprecedented attack on Tevez, Joorabchian and AC Milan for their conduct.Tevez, who has refused to return to Manchester since flying to Argentina without permission on November 7, flew to Brazil with Joorabchian to meet AC vice-president Adriano Galliani to agree a deal and present it to City as a fait accompli.“I see myself only in the red and black shirt,” said Tevez, following the meeting with Galliani in Rio. “I am hoping for Milan.”Joorabchian was more bullish than his client in claiming a deal with Milan was close to completion. “We are halfway to reach an agreement, but I will not give more details,” said Joorabchian. But AC Milan’s £21m offer fell short of City’s £25m valuation of Tevez and Al Mubarak left both parties in no doubt that they were wasting their time trying to call City’s bluff and railroad them into agreeing to the deal, with transfer deadline day fast approaching.“As things stand, AC Milan isn’t an option for Carlos Tevez,” said City chairman Al Mubarak, speaking from his base in Abu Dhabi.“Mr Galliani and his advisors have developed a misplaced sense of confidence from their premature discussions with Carlos and his advisors.“If they want to be a consideration in this transfer window they would do better to stop congratulating one another and begin to look at how they would meet our terms.“Inter Milan and Paris St Germain approached discussions with us in good faith and it is always a positive experience to deal with people with a professional approach.”Continuing his diatribe against Tevez and Joorabchian, Al Mubarak warned the pair City were prepared to hold the 27-year-old to the terms of his deal and make him see out the remainder of his contract.“Carlos remains a player with contractual obligations to Manchester City for the next two-and-a-half seasons,” said Al Mubarak.“Unless we receive an offer that we deem appropriate the terms of his contract will be enforced.”Tevez’s refusal to return to Manchester has cost him £9.3m in lost earnings. City have refused to pay him for the past two months, costing him £1.7m, while Tevez was also hit with a six-week fine of £1.2m for gross misconduct, having unsuccessfully appealed to City against the December 22 sanction on January 11. He has until January 30 to raise an appeal with the Premier League on that fine.Add to that a £400,000 fine for refusing to carry out boss Roberto Mancini’s instructions away to Bayern Munich in City’s debut Champions League game, and £6m in lost loyalty bonuses, and the cost of his self-imposed exile has reached a staggering £9.3m.If a deal cannot be agreed in this month’s transfer window and Tevez remains in limbo, City will continue to withhold his wages while he remains in exile, with his financial penalty set to increase if that scenario arises.City, confirming the disciplinary action against Tevez, released an additional statement which read: “The club can confirm that Carlos Tevez was found guilty by a disciplinary hearing on 21 December of gross misconduct for serious breaches of contract and was fined six weeks’ wages.“Carlos elected to appeal the finding, which was dismissed by an appeal panel made up of Club directors. He has until January 30 to make a final appeal to the Premier League.”City accepted a bid or around £38m for Tevez from Corinthians last summer, only for the deal to collapse when it emerged the Brazilian club were unable to raise the bank guarantees for the sale to go ahead. With City accepting of the fact they are going to take a hit of around £13m on Tevez, from the price agreed with Corinthians last July, the club have set a minimum fee of £25m for any deal to proceed.Tevez could have avoided such an unprecedented financial penalty had he swallowed his pride and accepted Mancini’s olive branch by apologising to the City boss for his antics. But for Tevez, sorry seems to be the hardest - and most expensive - word.

Nije uopste glup taj finansijski fer plej.

Vedad Ibisevic presao u Stuttgart Edited by gervasius twinkleminkleson

Fiorentina dovela izvjesnog Guida Pizarra, mladog Argentinca. Zna li iko ista o njemu?Juve juri Nainggolana.
