Exclusive. Flávio Bolsonaro is enrolled as a witness in dispute over millionaire mansion on island paradise

Senator Flavio Bolsonaro was enrolled as a witness in a legal dispute over the possession of a mansion of R$ 10 million in the paradisiacal Ilha Comprida, in Angra dos Reis, in Rio de Janeiro. The house, which has 11 suites, a private beach, a waterfall, swimming pool, tennis court and helipad, among other luxuries, was sold in 2020 to Sport 70, a company owned by Brazilian national team player Richarlison and his manager. In May this year, however, an injunction decision transferred possession of the property to the lawyer Willer Tomaz, one of Flávio's main friends in Brasilia and that, since the senator was enchanted with the mansion, two years ago, he began a series of moves to become its owner.

After trying in 2021 to buy the property, from the same person from whom Richarlison's company had acquired it, Tomaz began a legal battle full of dramatic episodes, including a 78-year-old lady who says she was tricked into signing a document and the expulsion of a pregnant woman from the house, during the night, by the Military Police of Rio de Janeiro, in May this year. The column had access to all the documents of the case, which runs in the Court of Justice of Rio.

Flávio's interest in the mansion on Ilha Comprida began on the last weekend of July 2020, long before Willer Tomaz went to Justice for the property and when its possession still belonged to businessman Antônio Marcos Pereira Silva, former owner and who would sell it that same year to Richarlison's company, his agent and another partner. On July 25, 2020, a Friday, Flávio arrived in Angra accompanied by his wife, dentist Fernanda Bolsonaro, and the then minister Tarcísio de Freitas, for the ceremony to begin the works of the city's airport.

The couple decided to spend the weekend in Angra and, on Saturday, at the invitation of former senator Wilder Morais (PL-GO), who has a house in the region, and went to visit the mansion, considered one of the most luxurious properties of the cinematographic Ilha Comprida. Mainly because of the exclusivity of having a waterfall next to the house and in front of the private beach (see photos in the gallery [titles translated in the next lines]).

They were received that day by Antônio Marcos, the then owner, who was already negotiating the sale to Richarlison's company. Flávio was dazzled by the mansion. The house on Ilha Comprida has decades of history. It belonged, until 1983, to the singer Clara Nunes. In 1986, the composer Paulo César Pinheiro, Clara's widower, sold his possession to a company, M Locadora. After that, there were two owners, until the possession was bought in 2011 by Antônio Marcos, the businessman who on that 26 July 2020 opened the doors to welcome the president's son.

The use of the term "possession" here is not for nothing. Land on islands, anywhere in Brazil, belongs to the Union [Brazil's Federal Government], which grants a concession to whoever owns it. In the Secretaria de Patrimônio da União (SPU), however, the register of who had possession had not been updated since 1977, when it was made by Luiz Fernando Behring, the first owner of the concession. Therefore, no owner after this date - neither Clara Nunes, nor M Locadora, nor Antônio Marcos, nor Richarlison and his partners -, registered the possession of the property in the SPU nor in the property registry, having the proof only in contracts signed by both parties.

Back on July 26, 2020, after Antônio Marcos, Flávio and the others spent the day between the sea and the waterfall, the group met again for a dinner at Wilder Morais' house, and Antônio Marcos told them that those would be their last months at the mansion on Ilha Comprida, since the property was being sold to Richarlison's company. Five months went by and, on January 1st 2021, Antônio Marcos received a phone call informing him that Flávio was in front of the house, and this time accompanied by a friend, to whom he wanted to show the property. It was Willer Tomaz. The two had anchored a speedboat in front of the property, without having been invited by Antônio Marcos or by those who, at that moment, were already its owners: Richarlison and his manager.

According to Antônio Marcos, Flavio introduced Tomaz to him and asked if his friend could visit the mansion. Antônio Marcos apologized, explained that he was no longer the owner of the property and therefore could not receive the senator and Tomaz. Nor did he feel comfortable asking the new owners to allow Flavio and a stranger to tour the house that no longer belonged to him.

"I told Willer Tomaz and Flávio that I had already negotiated (the house). Willer was saying 'Ah, will he (the new owner) not sell? Can't you cancel the sale? How is the contract, is he still paying you or has he paid everything?', and I said there was no way, because the deal had already been done", said Antônio Marcos in an interview to the column.

In an interview with the column, Tomaz told a different version and said he already knew the property before - read the end of the text what the lawyer says.

That day, also without permission from either the old or the new owner of the property, Flávio filmed with a drone an aerial shot of the house, showing its sumptuousness, and published the video on his Instagram profile. "How many places do you know where the waterfall flows into the sea? In Angra dos Reis it does! Takada da Ilha Comprida, located a (sic) few minutes from Angra airport," Flávio wrote, in a proud tone.

The repossession

Months passed and the new owners of the mansion began a series of renovations. They renovated the entire house, modernising bathrooms, the kitchen, a servants' house, and built a swimming pool and a sports court, which did not exist until then. Richarlison and Renato Velasco, who live in Europe, used to visit the mansion when they came to Brazil. When the works were ready, Velasco decided to let his wife, who was pregnant and would have the baby in Brazil, live in the property. Until May 13 this year, the businessman was in London when he received a phone call from his wife.

She was crying and told him that a bailiff and police officers were at the mansion to remove her from the property and to comply with a repossession order given by judge Ivan Pereira, from the Second Civil Court of Angra. Videos recorded by her during the repossession and sent in real time to Velasco show the police officers placing the woman's clothes and belongings, already at night, outside the house. The court order was in response to a request from M Locadora, which had bought possession of the property from Clara Nunes' husband in 1986 and resold it in 2002. Now, 20 years later, representatives of the estate of the former owners of the company, already dead, claimed possession.

To convince the judge, M Locadora's lawyer, former Justice Minister Eugênio Aragão, who is also Tomaz's partner in another law firm, alleged that the property registry stated that the house still belonged to M Locadora. And he claimed that the current occupants were "squatters", i.e. invaders.

Two days later, on Sunday, the lawyers of Richarlison's company managed to reverse the first decision, presenting documentation proving that they were not trespassers, and regained possession of the house. Willer Tomaz appealed to the Second Instance of the Rio de Janeiro Justice, asking for the suspension of the decision of the court on duty, and won again, in a new preliminary injunction decision, the possession of the property.

Pa vidiš valjda da je prebrojano 1,6% glasova, tek treba da stignu pravi rezultati. Ja koliko sam ovlaš pratio, pitanje je samo da li Lula pobeđuje u prvom ili u drugom krugu.

I povodom toga gradonacelnica Esmeraldas skratila radno vreme juce gradskih sluzbi do 2 popodne, kaze, da stignu zivi kuci.

 

Ima traceva da je pocelo reketiranje lokala u mom kraju.

AU, isto pojma nisam imao. A ovaj Etijopijski predsednik je onomad 2019. dobio Nobelovu nagradu za mir za mir sa Eritrejom, a ovamo ne može da obuzda trupe sa ne čine zločine, pmm.
