Jimmy Kowalski Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Video for "Catchin' the Vibe" was set out to be filmed in Quasimoto's home town Lost Gates CA, but filming permits were denied. Permits were also denied for filming in Los Angeles County, possibly due to embarrassment caused in the wake of Quasimoto's "official letter of recognition" from the Los Angeles mayor and city council, who did not realize that Quasimoto was a semi-fictional cartoon character, weed-smoking promoter of chaos, obsessed with fat ass. Directors Tuomas Vauhkonen & Jeremias Nieminen instead chose to film primarily in Finland and Romania, using local actors.

maheem Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) http://gummysoul.ban...ummy-soul-remix In celebration of the 20th anniversary of 93 'Til Infinity, Souls of Mischief graciously opened their vaults to give Gummy Soul the exclusive acapellas of their classic album, to remix for the first time ever. As the framework of the project, Gummy Soul’s Wally Clark, dug through his extensive record collection, and gathered all of the songs that were sampled to make hip-hop in 1993. Jazz, Funk and Soul songs, used to create classics from Digable Planets, Snoop Dogg and Black Moon, were then re-contextualized to provide familiar, yet updated versions of some of hip-hop’s most beloved material."I wanted to take all of the records that people used back then, and create new compositions using the same techniques they were using – such as filtered bass lines... twitter.com/WallyClarkGSLyrics by: Souls of Mischief twitter.com/SOMHIEROMixed By: HiDef twitter.com/ProducedByHidefMixed By: Sosa twitter.com/BeatsBySosa,Additional Acapella support by: The Goodwill Projectstwitter.com/goodwilprojectsGummy Soul Records 2013Artists that inspired 93 Still:Black Moon, A Tribe Called Quest, Akinyele, Mobb Deep, Prince Paul, Digable Planets, UGK, Eightball & MJG, Beatnuts, De La Soul, Wu-Tang Clan, Jungle Brothers, Big Daddy Kane, Brotha Lynch Hung, Young MC, King Tee, Onyx, Naughty By Nature, Fat Joe, Erik Sermon, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, M.O.P., Smif-N-Wesson, Cypress Hill, Jeru the Damaja, Eazy-E, Brand Nubian, Ice Cube, The Coup, Krs-One, Devin the Dude, Scarface, Da Bush Babees, LL Cool J, Beastie Boys, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Geto Boys, Dr. Dre, 5th Ward Boys, Tim Dogg, Above the Law, Intelligent Hoodlum, Salt-N-Pepa, Prime Minister Pete Nice, MC Ren, Lords of the Underground, Kurious, Nate Dogg, Queen Latifah, Yall So Stupid, Leaders of the New School, Masta Ace, Gangstarr, Freestyle Fellowship and many more.
