Jeste malo zakukuljio sa pišanjem i body buildingom, da je meni zapalo nacrtao bih samo WC od cigala, ali tako je to kad si umetnik pa možeš da priuštiš sebi luksuz da crtaš bildere kako pišaju i razmišljaš o trajektoriji mlaza

Shithousery je nefer postupak, neslana sala, a built like a brick shithouse se kaze za nekoga ko je velik i jak.

The first evidence of the phrase being used was in 1903 and it is debatable whether it first appeared in the UK or Australia.

 

A "shithouse" is a small building, usually at the back of a residence that housed the toilet. This was in the days before indoor plumbing. If you needed to go to the toilet, you went outside to the shithouse.

 

Such places could be cobbled together from wood or metal sheeting but the most sturdy ones were built of bricks and mortar.

 

Consequently a "brick shithouse" was considered something that was unusually strong and robust - perhaps more than is actually required.

 

In most English speaking countries the phrase became a common way of describing something that was particularly strong and sturdy and was also applied to men who were exceptionally strong.

 

Later in the C20th the phrase could be heard in the USA but quickly started being used for women in a derogatory way. That seems to still be the case today where it used as an insult to women on one side of the Atlantic but a compliment to men on the other.
