President Donald Trump rejected a plan that would see Oman and Iran jointly charge a toll for ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, threatening harsh consequences for the U.S. ally if it follows through on discussions that have reportedly taken place with Tehran.

"Oman will behave just like everybody else or we'll have to blow them up," he told reporters Wednesday at a White House Cabinet meeting. "They understand that. They'll be fine."

The official fund for Donald Trump’s Board of Peace is empty and the organisation is stuck in a legal and political limbo that has held up projects to rebuild Gaza.

The US president described the board, which solicited $1bn “lifetime membership” fees from world leaders, as one of the “most consequential” international organisations created. Member states pledged $7bn for the board’s Gaza “relief package”, and Trump promised a further $10bn in US funding.

But four months after its establishment, the board’s financial fund set up by the World Bank has received no money from donors, according to four people familiar with the matter. “Zero dollars have been deposited,” one said.

Rather than use the fund administered by the World Bank, and endorsed by the UN, the board has received donations directly via its JPMorgan account, the board’s spokesperson and another person familiar with the arrangements said.

While the World Bank must report on the financial position of the Gaza fund to contributors and board members, no independent transparency requirements are in place for the JPMorgan account.

A Board of Peace official told the FT that “a number of options were established to receive funding” including the World Bank mechanism and that “at this point, contributors have opted to use other options”.

The Board of Peace “will report its financials” to its own executive board, which is made up of Trump administration officials and other advisers, “at a time deemed appropriate”, the official added.

Ne znam kako ovde nismo pokrili trampovu najkorumpiraniju stvar ikada. Vansudska nagodba sa samim sobom gde je u fond koji kontroliše isplatio 1.7 milijardi dolara.

TLDR:

• Trump je pred prvi izbor obećao da će kao svi predsednici pre njega javno objaviti poreske prijave.

• Kasnije je obećanje prekršio, ali su njegove poreske prijave (i mnogih drugih bogataša) likovane od strane eksternog konsultanta koji je dobio neku ćorku za to. Trump je u 10 godina pre početka prvog predsednikovanja platio federalni porez na prihod samo u jednoj godini i samo 750 dolara.

• Sudovi su ranije za takva ugrožavanja privatnosti valjda dodeljivali po 1000 dolara i to samo ako je procurilo od strane zaposlenog u poreskoj, ne i od strane eksternog konsultanta. Neki drugi lik kome su procurili kad i trampu je na sudu dobio samo izvinjenje, ne i pare.

• Rok za tužbu zastareva 2 godine od saznanja za leak - ali se Trump pravio da za to nije znao dok ga zvanično nisu obavestili 2024 nakon suđenja leaker-u. I poslednji dan roka u januaru 2026 podneo tužbu. Iako je to u medijima bilo par godina ranije, i ako je o tom leaku ranije govorila njegova advokatica na suđenju protiv trumpa u NYCtiju kao primeru nepravde prema njemu.

• Čak se i Trump javno zajebavao da je tužio sam sebe za 10 milijardi, jer odbranu - DOJ on postavlja i kontroliše i odbranu je predvodio njegov bivši lični advokat, a i sudija je to prepoznala kao problem.

• Trump i DOJ postižu gore pomenuto poravnanje koje ne podleže sudskoj kontroli.

• Dodatno je za sebe i familiju dobio imunitet za poreske prekršaje. Iako postoji zakon koji zabranjuje mešanje predsednika u poreske audite.

A valjda je i dobio nekakav trajni imunitet od IRS audita, i on i bližnji mu, nisam ispratio baš pažljivo.

I tu je Tramp gradjanin tužio Trampa predsednika.

I sad zamislite da ste porodica nekog od onih povredjenih i ubijenih službenika i sad će još od vaših poreza da se plaća onimhuliganima i kriminalcima.

A federal judge barred the government on Friday from taking steps to launch President Trump’s $1.8 billion fund, for now prohibiting the establishment of the fund, which is intended to pay people the administration finds were harmed by the federal government.

The brief order by Judge Leonie M. Brinkema of the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia prohibits the government from establishing the fund or processing disbursements at least until a hearing is held in June in a pending lawsuit challenging its legality.

Ali potpuno je sumanuto i van pameti kako uopšte smišljaju ovakve stvari. Kao u kompaniji gde imaš produkt tim koji radi na novim fičerima, ovi imaju timove koji prolnalaze nove i nikad viđene koruptivne šeme.

Oni jesu bitni potencijalni primaoci odštete, ali nisu jedini. Otprilike, Trump osniva komisiju koja saslušava oštećene od strane federalne vlade. Kriterijumi nisu definisani u dokumentu, niti maksimalna ošteta po oštećenom. I nisu obavezni da objavljuju odluke, dokumentaciju niti obrazloženja, tj. odluke mogu biti tajne.

Take Joe Biden as an example. In late December 2023, Axios reported that Biden’s frustration with Benjamin Netanyahu had become so intense that he abruptly ended a phone call with the Israeli leader, reportedly concluding the exchange with the terse remark: “This conversation is over.” Yet in practice, Biden remained firmly aligned with Israel’s conduct of the war in Gaza.

Two months later, NBC News reported that Biden had repeatedly referred to Netanyahu as an “asshole” in private conversations with aides and donors. But even as he vented his exasperation behind closed doors, Biden continued to arm Israel lavishly and shield it from mounting diplomatic and political pressure at the United Nations. The gap between private frustration and public policy could hardly have been more striking.

There are, however, a few important counterexamples—particularly from Trump’s second term—that suggest the Axios story is not entirely implausible. (Indeed, the report would have been far more difficult to believe had Axios claimed that Trump told Netanyahu, “Everybody loves you.”)

Now watch the response.

Mark Levin, a close ally of both Trump and Netanyahu, did not deny the story. He demanded an FBI investigation into who leaked it. When your defense is "this should never have leaked" instead of "this never happened," you have confirmed the call happened.

But here is the part that matters.

Why would Levin, a friend to BOTH men, confirm the most explosive account of their relationship ever published?

Because it serves both.

Trump gets to look tough. Not Netanyahu's puppet. Willing to put Israel in its place. His base loves it.

Netanyahu gets cover. He "paused" the Beirut strike, but not because Iran threatened him. Because his "friend" asked him to. His base loves it too.

And look at what actually changed on the ground. Nothing.

Israel cancelled the Beirut strike. But the ground invasion of Lebanon continues. The IDF is still miles deep. A soldier died today from a Hezbollah drone. Netanyahu's office said: "position unchanged."

The performance was perfect. Trump gets the headline. Netanyahu gets the cover. The deal gets another 48 hours of "progress." Markets get a reason to breathe.

And the war continues exactly as planned.

This is the same playbook. Every time public opinion turns against the war, a story appears showing the US president is "furious" with Israel. It creates the illusion of restraint while changing nothing.

Biden was "furious" for 14 months. The war never stopped.

Trump is "furious" now. The ground invasion is expanding.

The visible game is: Trump controls Netanyahu.

The real game is: both men are performing for their audiences while the machine moves forward.

Nothing has been signed. Nothing has stopped. The war is not winding down. It is being managed.

Neither one controls the other. They walk arm in arm. Know that.
