vememah Posted July 18, 2021 Posted July 18, 2021 (edited) U Britaniji uskoro očekuju 100.000 slučajeva i 1000 hospitalizacija dnevno, a možda i 200.000 slučajeva i 2000 hospitalizacija, kao i pik ovog talasa tek krajem avgusta, a možda čak i u septembru. 13.7. je bilo 36.500 slučajeva i 740 hospitalizacija. Quote Speaking on BBC 1’s Andrew Marr Show, Professor Neil Ferguson said: “I think it’s almost certain we’ll get to 1,000 hospitalisations per day,” as he expects cases to rise to 100,000 cases per day “The real question is,” he said, “do we get to double that or even higher?” “We could get to 2,000 hospitalisations a day, 200,000 cases a day, but it’s much less certain.” He added that infections at this level would place a “significant burden” on the health system, even though vaccination has reduced the link with serious illness and death. He said that while people who were being admitted to hospital appeared to not be as severely ill as those admitted in December and January, “if you have enough cases you can still have quite a significant burden on the healthcare system”. The government’s most recent data on hospitalisatons show that 740 people were admitted to the hospital with Covid-19 on 13 July. Over the week to 13 July, 4,313 people were admitted to hospital with coronavirus, an increase of nearly 40 per cent week-on-week. At the peak of the second wave, 4,579 patients were admitted to hospital on 13 January. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/covid-news-live-vaccine-freedom-b1886046.html Quote The housing secretary said that the UK’s current wave of the coronavirus pandemic may not peak until “late August, maybe even early September.” Speaking with Trevor Phillips on Sky News, Robert Jenrick said that cases were still rising and revealed the government projection that the peak from the current wave would not be expected until later in the summer. Cases are still rising, hospitalisations are increasing and we won’t really expect this wave of the virus to peak until late August, maybe even early September,” he said. “There are going to be some quite challenging weeks ahead.” This comes as the UK reported more than 50,000 new Covid infections on Friday and Saturday, and the England is set to lift remaining coronavirus restrictions on Monday, a move the housing secretary defended. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/covid-news-live-vaccine-freedom-b1886046.html Edited July 18, 2021 by vememah

Malkmus Posted July 18, 2021 Posted July 18, 2021 https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/07/210716112443.htm New UK study reveals extent of brain complications in children hospitalized with COVID-19 Although the risk of a child being admitted to hospital due to COVID-19 is small, a new UK study has found that around 1 in 20 of children hospitalised with COVID-19 develop brain or nerve complications linked to the viral infection. The research, published in The Lancet Child and Adolescent Health and https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanchi/article/PIIS2352-4642(21)00193-0/fulltext led by the University of Liverpool, identifies a wide spectrum of neurological complications in children and suggests they may be more common than in adults admitted with COVID-19 2

vememah Posted July 18, 2021 Posted July 18, 2021 (edited) Dosta jake ove Makronove kazne za neposlušne, do 6 meseci zatvora i 10 kila evra za građane i do godinu dana zatvora i 45 kila evra za vlasnike objekata. Quote Macron announced that from 21 July, anyone visiting a theatre, cinema, sports venue or festival with an audience of more than 50 people would need a health pass proving they were either fully vaccinated, had tested negative or were immune. The same requirement will be extended to bars, cafes, restaurants, shopping centres (though not supermarkets), hospitals, long-distance trains, coaches and planes from 1 August, he said – including for children aged between 12 and 17 from 1 September. People unable to present a valid health pass risk up to six months in prison and a fine of up to €10,000 (£8,500), according to the draft text of the law, while owners of “establishments welcoming the public” who fail to check patrons’ passes could go to jail for a year and be hit with a €45,000 fine. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/jul/15/france-achieves-record-covid-jabs-with-macrons-big-stick-approach Edited July 18, 2021 by vememah 1
