He was the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, from January 2002 to the time of his confirmation as Deputy Attorney General on December 11, 2003.[8] Among his first tasks was to take over the investigation into President Bill Clinton's controversial pardon of Marc Rich.[10] In 1983 Rich and partner Pincus Green were indicted on 65 criminal counts, including income tax evasion, wire fraud, racketeering, and trading with Iran during the oil embargo (at a time when Iranian revolutionaries were still holding American citizens hostage).[7][17] The charges would have led to a sentence of more than 300 years in prison had Rich been convicted on all counts.[17] The indictment was filed by then-U.S. Federal Prosecutor (and future mayor of New York City) Rudolph Giuliani. That condition was consistent with the position that his alleged wrongdoing warranted only civil penalties, not criminal punishment. Rich never returned to the United States.[9]In a February 18, 2001 op-ed essay in The New York Times, Clinton (by then out of office) explained why he had pardoned Rich, noting that U.S. tax professors Bernard Wolfman of the Harvard Law School and Martin Ginsburg of Georgetown University Law Center had concluded that no crime had been committed, and that Rich's companies' tax-reporting position had been reasonable.[19] In the same essay, Clinton listed Lewis "Scooter" Libby as one of three "distinguished Republican lawyers" who supported a pardon for Rich. Realno ja sva ova sranja sa emailovima i ocekujem od vedeta kako demokrata tako i republikanaca, ovo sto tramp radi ne ocekujem. jednostavno sasvim drugi nivo. Sto se mene tice glasam za Hilari mirne duse. A kakav joj je potpredsednički kandidat? Pošto se lako može destiti da zaglavi mardelj u skorije vreme.

Gandalf Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 ali je cnn toliko bio hilari biased tokom prajmarija da nema smisla to uopšte podvlačiti. svi ljudi koji se sada pojavljuju na cnn-u su oni sa prajmarija van jones, bakari selers, dona brazil, hilari rozen, nia malika henderson. svi su oni "komentatori" i svi su oni guess what pro hilari. sanders je imao onog jednog što je bio napisao knjigu buyers remource za obamu što nije bio popularan baš stav tokom dem prajmarija da ideš protiv obame tako da je u suštini više štetio nego koristio. tip koji je na izbore išao kao anti-establišment kandidat i obećavao revoluciju, nije imao mnogo obožavatelja među establišmentarijom. šokantno. da se vratimo na ovaj slučaj? ako kojim slučajem iskoče mejlovi koje su npr. moderatori debata slali Klintonki, onda je u pitanju CNN ujdurma. u suprotnom, deluje kao lični čin Done Brazile.
