(Gould was managing Wales at the time, of course.) It caused a minor stink, I remember: Gould retaliated by criticising MSP (he called them the Manic Street *Peachers*), on Football Focus, I think it was. This was shortly after a BBC documentary about the band, which of course discussed Richey Edwards’ self-harm and the whole 4 REAL thing; Gould had a go at Richey for setting a bad example to the kids.
