1. Enhanced interrogation "not an effective" way to gather intelligence The report's first conclusion states the CIA's use of so-called "enhanced interrogation techniques" was not effective and that multiple detainees who were subjected to the techniques "fabricated information, resulting in faulty intelligence." 2. Interrogations by the CIA were "brutal and far worse" than the CIA represented The report details "physically harmful" instances of interrogation, including waterboarding that left one detainee "completely unresponsive, with bubbles rising through his open, full mouth." The report also alleges instances of sleep deprivation, slaps and "slamming detainees against the wall." 3. The CIA reportedly misled the Department of Justice on multiple occasions The Department of Justice relied on information from the CIA outlining the conditions of detainees and the effectiveness of the techniques involved. The department did not conduct an independent verification of the information. When the CIA later determined the information was incorrect, it rarely informed the department, the report contends. 4. At least 39 detainees were reportedly subjected to "enhanced interrogation techniques" Among at least 119 individuals detained by the CIA, at least 39 were reportedly subjected "enhanced interrogation techniques." The report also concludes at least 26 were wrongfully held and "did not meet the detention standard in the September 2001 Memorandum of Notification," including an "intellectually challenged man." 5. A list of techniques for possible use by the CIA included "use of insects" and "mock burial" The CIA acquired a list of twelve SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape) techniques, derived from the U.S. military. Among those were waterboarding as well as the use of insects, mock burials and the use of diapers. 6. President George W. Bush was reportedly not briefed until April 2006 The report suggests the enhanced interrogation techniques were not shared with the President until April 2006, when the President "expressed discomfort" at an image of a detainee "chained to the ceiling, clothed in a diaper, and forced to go the bathroom on himself." 7. Abu Zubayah reportedly cried, begged, pleaded and whimpered Abu Zubayah, a Saudi Arabian man who was accused of being a senior lieutenant in al Qaeda, reportedly continued to deny that he had any "additional information on current threats to, or operatives in, the United States." 8. Officials at CIA headquarters were at odds with personnel conducting the interrogations In separate instances, the interrogators for al Qaeda suspects Ramzi bin al-Shibh and Ab al-Rahim al-Nashiri concluded those suspects were cooperating and telling what they knew. Officials at CIA headquarters disagreed, contending that the men must have more information about pending terror plots, and ordered the interrogators to apply harsh interrogation tactics. After the harsh tactics were used, the men provided no new information about plots, according to the report. 9. Then-CIA Director Michael Hayden allegedly provided misleading information to the Senate Intelligence Committee The report accuses then-CIA Director Michael Hayden of repeatedly providing the Senate Intelligence Committee with inaccurate and misleading information on major elements of the program, from the effectiveness of waterboarding to the number of detainees the agency was holding, the report concludes. 10. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed "consistently wavers" The CIA used enhanced interrogation techniques against Khalid Sheikh Mohammed but remained concerned about the veracity of the information he provided, noting he "consistently wavers" and his information "lack sufficient detail [to be] actionable intelligence." Edited December 10, 2014 by Eraserhead

(što neko reče, we rectally fed some folks.)
Roger Sanchez Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 (edited) Obama je realno u škripcu koji si je sam stvorio - jednog dana i onaj dio Bushovog war on terrora koji je on nastavio i proširio, drone assassinations, bit će dio nekog izvještaja, samo puno žešće pošpricanog krvlju. S druge strane, desi li se novi veliki napad, objavu ovog izvještaja i Barryjeve kritike torture sigurno će GOP društveno-medijska dominacija proglasiti za još jednu izdaju from the top.
