Svako ko zna ovoSkoro nijedno jelo ne može da se spremi bez belog luka. Obožavaoci ovog povrća stavljaju ga i u recepte u kojima mu nije mesto. Ali mnogi ne znaju da miris luka prvo prođe kroz celo vaše telo, pa se osim u vašem dahu oseća i na celom vašem telu. Miris belog luka sadrži mnoga jedinjenja, a neka od njih užasno mirišu. Najsmrdljiviji je sumpor koji dolazi iz jedinjenja alil metil sulfid, koje se nalazi u luku. Kada operete zube nakon što pojedete beli luk, većinu smrdljivih jedinjenja uklonite, ali ne i alil metil sulfid. Nećete ga ukloniti ni ako nekoliko puta operete zube. on pođe u proputovanje po celom telu, što su pokazale analize vazduha iz pluća i analize urina. To što se nalazi u urinu, znači da je dospeo i do bubrega. A želudac ga je upio i razneo po krvotoku. Tako luk proputuje celim vašim telom. A onda se luči i kroz vaš znoj i kroz pljuvačku. Miris belog luka u ustima se zadržava jer u ustima ostaju neki tragovi belog luka. I sve dok varite luk, njegov ukus i miris zadržaće se u vašim ustima. Pranje zuba neće vam pomoći.
