https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2018/10/vietnam-is-the-most-globalized-populous-country-in-modern-history/

Vietnam is the most globalized populous country in modern history

In 2017, Vietnam’s trade as a percentage of GDP reached over 200%. This is the highest level for any country with over 50 million people in the World Bank’s data, which goes back to 1960. Of the world’s twenty most populous countries, it blows away number two Thailand at 122%.

It’s GDP per person grew from about $1,500 in 1990 to about $6,500 today. Unlike in some fast growing economies, its new prosperity has been shared. The proportion of people in extreme poverty fell from above 70% in the early 1990s to around 10% in 2016.

Evo jedan tekstic za one koji i dalje veruju u fiks ideje "prvog sveta", "razvijene zemlje", "pravne drzave" i demokracije.

Ratbags are turning my dream into nightmare: Perth shopkeeper

His store, on Junction Boulevard, is just a few hundred metres from Cockburn police station, but he claimed officers rarely responded immediately because shoplifting was not a high-priority crime.

“The police come long after to take a report and footage but nothing comes of it,” Mr Patlolls said.

“Those who are stealing know that the police do nothing about it and they just continue unabated.

“A couple of times people stole and stood in front of the store and finished off what they stole, swearing, laughing and mocking me while I was on the phone with the police.”

Mr Patlolls said since taking over the business in October, he had filed dozens of reports with police and provided CCTV vision of the incidents.

Many of the incidents involved children and teenagers, in some cases with adults encouraging them.

Police say they were investigating the reports and had reviewed CCTV vision but were yet to lay any charges.

If the Kimberley was a country, it would have the worst suicide rate in the world

And in the Kimberley, which includes towns like Broome, Kununurra and Halls Creek, the suicide rates are higher than Sri Lanka, Guyana and Mongolia, the nations with the worst rates in the world, according to the World Health Organisation.
